Hello, I hope that iClone 8 is going to fix the flicker problem during animation. I invested significant money to prepurchase iClone 8. The flicker in my animations is so bad I can't use the renders for my film.

It would be nice to actually see the flickering on rendered animation video and specs of your render settings - not just a static image with arrows pointing to walls. That is if you wish to get help/advise (never mind otherwise).

Here is a clip displaying the flicker problem.
Render settings = MP4 , Preview, Optimize with Full Screen Render, nothing else checked; rendered in By Frame as well as in Realtime, problem persists Project settings = no auxiliary light, Broad Color Gamut, Suppress light flicker checked (also tried render unchecking Suppress light flicker, problem persists. Visual settings = rendered with GI enabled and without GI, no AO, HDR Effect and Tone Map enabled, Activate IBL enabled.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate the input.
Thank
Nathan

Interesting. I viewed that on youtube on my large screen monitor and the flickering seemed very light to me. What really struck me was that there was a slight blur on the brick wall that suddenly comes into sharp focus on the last frame(s). The flicker on the white bottles was extreme subtle on my large monitor. I suspect it may not be apparent at all on a mobile device. I would try rendering in full HD (1920x1080) with the Render Quality set to Final Render (not preview). Also check your Quality Compressor settings near the top of the Render tool. Try them at the max setting (8) and the minimum setting to compare. You have a good eye!

Indeed, the Preview render mode (fast mode) is only good for checking your animation, making sure all is done right with the scene. But certainly not for render quality checks. Final Render mode with Super Sampling 3x3 (or 2x2 at minimum), would ensure the highest possible quality with anti-aliasing/smoothing of sharp object edges. It would sure take a lot longer to render. And for final rendering, selecting By Frame or Real-Time modes is irrelevant. Rendering routine always use By Frame mode.

iClone 8 will help with flicker. Enhanced TAA for Animated Render Compared to iClone7, TAA designed for static frame render, the newly enhanced TAA can effectively remove alias flickering in animation, and give a much faster render output. Best Regards.
