Hello everyone, I followed YouTube Simon Jagwe's tutorial on live link body animation and it works, mostly, except the root motion is not translated to the Metahuman character, so the animations are in place. I tried using motions that I know have root motion because they have worked in other programs but not unreal in this particular sense. Unreal says you can enable root motion in the animation sequence, but in Simon Jagwe's process you are using an Animation Blueprint and I am at a loss on how to enable root motion... any ideas on what I can do? --Ray

I was having a similar problem live streaming body animation from iClone 8 to UE5. Root motion was working in iClone 8, but not translating to the Metahuman in UE5. I found that changing the Root Motion setting of the animation to 'Sample Root To Hip' in iClone 8 solved the issue for me. Just right click on the animation in the Motion layer of the iClone sequence: Root Motion > Sample Root To Hip. Hope it works for you. Dan

Stupid question, but how do I setup root motion in iclone? I´m always getting walkinplace animations and the character never runs of the "border".
