I create a new project in CC3, apply a body texture, add a dress, remove the underwear and now I can do nothing more because I have run out of disk space. What???? Even closing and restarting the project, same issue. It complains I have only 500Mb of space left and thus it can;t open the file to load any textures to apply to my character. i don't get this at all Can anyone please tell me how I get CC4 to work again, please?

Hi... If you are using Windows 10 or 11, please try going to Start > Settings > System > Storage > Temporary Files and clear everything there (apart from Downloads if you have saved files there). You might be surprised at how much space is being used up by Temporary Files which might be contributing to the error message.

Hi Peter Thanks for the tip but that doesn't seem to be it. I clearly have over 105Gb of space left and that is just on drive C: I was thinking that since my second and third drives are set to expand into one 2.5Tb partition and appears in Windows as 1 2.5Tb D: drive, maybe CC3 is seeing that the physical second disk is full and THAT is causing the problem.... but All Reallusion tools are some of the few things I installed onto my C drive so back to being confused

I was doing a project, and I have about 28GB free space left. I was using visual and lighting, and kept rendering a photo, and I did not like it. And I kept doing that about 8 times. Then I looked at how much disk space I had, and it was about 200MB. I closed iClone and then started it up again. Then I was back to my 28GB. If you have a large scene and rendering it in high quality settings, that will eat up a lot of disk space. Every time you use or change a visual, a setting or props, it eats up your disk space.

I cleared my temp data from above so it lists 0Kb then restarted CC3 and this time I just created a new project and immediately tried to apply the Elf makeup I received as part of the skins and body morphs bundle I bought from the Content Store a while ago. New project, first thing I apply, sorry, 109Gb just isn't enough It specifically mentions the "image cache folder". Is there not a setting somewhere where I can see or change that value? Also, how does a folder have too little space??? Doesn't a folder use the entire disk if asked to? The only change I did between it working and now not working was buying and installing iRay. I am not actually USING iRay yet, though. I actually wanted to create a quick and simple elf, dress her in a simple dress and apron, give her a laundry basket and then animate a 5 second clip in iClone where she just looks up and gasps. I got as far as adjusting the ear dial to give her elf ears and adding the dress. I was able to give her the standard Asian skin but anything from the makeup package is a no go. The entire thing where you add blood and scars and body textures and dirt and makeup etc etc etc... yeah, that is not happening. CC3 has been reduced to "Open the base character and turn some dials. The end" 😭😭😭😭

I just restarted my PC, just in case, then I tried as suggested above: See how much space is available AFTER I opened my scene and before I start adding stuff: Available disk space now 178 after I cleared my temp files and with 178Gb available it is complaining 178Gb is less than 0.5Gb. It seems the problem is only with the Makeup and SFX package so I first moved it to the D: where I have 987Gb of free space and nope, still 987Gb is less than 500Mb. Then I uninstalled the package and reinstalled it. Nope, 987Gb is still less than 0.5Gb. What do I do? How do I get CC to NOT tell me that 987Gb is less than 0.5Gb ??? 😭😭😭

mybadstudios I was thinking that since my second and third drives are set to expand into one 2.5Tb partition and appears in Windows as 1 2.5Tb D: drive, maybe CC3 is seeing that the physical second disk is full and THAT is causing the problem... There seems to be some system specific issue. You can try uninstalling everything. Now three options 1 install everything on C drive 2 install in another new drive but not D

Personally i use Macrium reflect to backup. CCleaner Pro for cleaning and registry fixes post uninstalling. Revo uninstaller Pro to uninstall but not for Reallusion.
And Bitdefender Total security.
I have recently moved from Win 10 to 11 but both had no issues.

I installed CC nearly 3 years ago and it only started doing THIS this week, hence the confusion. As for the "uninstall everything" option, reinstalling everything every few months because of the eyes coming out black or [insert small stupid thing here] is slightly annoying but not the end of the world so it was on my ist op things to try but since I have a capped data package I will need to do all of this after midnight one night. Ughgh. Mainly, though, my issue lies with Reallusion themselves in this regard. I remember I wanted to reinstall something a while back and I was warned that I can only install it 10 times before I have to buy another seat and had to confirm that I want to go ahead with uninstall. If the software is forcing me to reinstall everything every few months for [insert small, stupid reason here] and Reallusion is saying "You can only install it 10 times" then one of these days soon it might become a case of: Uninstall everything, buy everything all over again, reinstall it then start saving for when you have to rebuy everything again 3 months from now. This is making me seriously cringe every time I read "Oh just uninstall everything. You have $2000 just laying around, don't you?" I already qualified to receive CC4 when they launch it so I was hoping I wouldn't have to uninstall CC3 before then but unless they can offer me a better answer it sounds like that is the order of the day

Just be online and uninstall via Reallusion hub. This way they will register deactivation.
And install on C drive .
You have a geniune reason to reinstall. Just go ahead with this. Also scan fix windows too.
