Trying to follow along an official character setup tutorial and immediately hit a problem.
It says you can just choose what layer you want to replace with your own character part by selecting the plus + key, but for most of the parts it is greyed out. Any ideas what I am missing?

Click the Sprite Editor icon (at the left side).
Replace the sprite with your own.

Hi...

You are using the wrong Template if you want to use the options in Layer Manager. If you select the Human_Dummy_F or Human_Dummy_S templates then the + Add Image button in Layer Manager will be active. Please see the image below to see the template you should use with Layer Manager.

Hi Peter,

Thanks. One more question. I was working in photoshop with a character I brought in from Cartoon Animator 4. I saved it back out to Cartoon Animator 4 and tested some mocap on it. I did not realize I broke the pipeline link with Photoshop when I did this. Is there anyway to reestablish the link? Otherwise it is hours of work down the drain. Thanks. Also, is there anyway this forum can notify my email account when I get a response?
