my friend just had his laptop go crunk and lock him out after the last windows 10 update .... turns out part of the problem is a bug with bitlocker. I'd do a little investigating on the last windows update and any bugs that came with it. His problem got worse when he uninstalled his anti-virus program while troubleshooting. - so the security and bitlocker seem to be related. - not saying this is the problem, but it's the first place I'd check.

Yeah I tried a few times to get past Norton Antivirus and it didn't work. I can't update anything.

Even when run as administrator or set to to allow. It still blocks everything Are you using Windows 10 and the included Windows Security software? If so I haven't found any problems updating so I would check to make sure you have your anti-virus definitions updated to the latest (run Windows Update to be sure). This may resolve the problem for you.

No problem here, upgrade went smooth from RL Hub: Edition: Windows 10 Pro Version: 20H2 OS build: 19042.906 Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0 No additional antivirus installed.

Yup, I can't update anything! Norton keep blocking everything even after I've disabled it. Even better I cannot even open Iclone now!

They are aware of the false positives, RL issued a special update for the kaspersky false flags - since RL software interacts with each other, it's easy to false positive it as a threat..... you can find that update here - hopefully it will work with norton too. good luck! https://forum.reallusion.com/479677/Whats-New-in-Smart-Gallery-12

Hello all
Had a similar issue for weeks and couldn't update anything as being blocked by Norton Security.
I'm using Windows 11 and updated to the latest available version.
Today, I finally managed to update Real Illusion Hub as well CC 4 + IC 8 to the latest versions by simply disabling Norton Auto Protect and Norton Firewall for 15 minutes.
No further issues.
