Hello!
I want to use the Motion Live 2d to animate character faces. But, it seems to work very very very poorly. I am willing to accept this might be MY issue, but I just don't now what I'm doing wrong.
I have tried several different cameras. I have a very nice computer (I can run the wonderful Iclone just fine, for example), an HD camera, sufficient lighting, and a nice microphone. I've never run across a program my computer can't handle, so I don't believe it's the computer.
On the face tracker, all the green dots appear just fine. No problem there.
The problems are these:
1) It is incredibly laggy. There is absolutely no way I could do live streaming with my cartoon character, as one of the Cartoon Animator tutorials on the official channel showed.
2) The lip sync is so bad as to be non-existent. The green dots in the tracker are perfectly matching my lips, so I just don't understand the problem. The character head moves around, the eyes close etc, but the lips just don't match. This happens if I select the option for realtime lip sync OR post processing.
3) The audio recording messes up. I've tried it with and without audio, in hopes that will help the lip sync somehow. When I have it turned on and do playback, the audio in Cartoon Animator sounds like The Man from Another Place, from Twin Peaks. Backwards sounding gibberish. Again I have a wonderful microphone and no other programs I have encounter these issues.
I would really REALLY love to make an animated avatar for myself, and also do facial mocap, but I just do not understand what am I doing wrong. Are there known errors in this? Are there some secret settings, or some "aha moment" tricks where it just works? I would be SOOO grateful for any help with this matter. I love Cartoon Animator and just want to take my animations to the next level.
