Data Juggler (1/6/2023) I just tried this and I get an error in IClone 'Failed to load the file'.
I have done this before. Not sure if it is the character or if this broke recently. This was recently brought up. Loading CC projects by just changing the extension seems to be broken since a recent update.

Sometimes the physics weight maps are not copied over correctly from CC or they are not there. That would be the first thing to check.

I recently found your solution to use ccProject to iProject
This works. However, when I try to animate the converted iProject, it seems the physicss (for example of the hair and cloth) is not working even though I see that the physics is checked for the hair and the cloth. Is there a way I could fix this? Thanks.

rhochroma (12/17/2021) Hopefully the soon to be released CC4/Iclone8 update will have this as an auto-export included when moving characters/files (for the #devs who are monitoring😉}... If implemented, it should be optional. The reason: if I have my scene already set up in iClone to my liking, I don't want it to change when I import additional characters.

I believe this will provide you with the solution... https://youtube.com/watch?v=9oO66vhsIxc&feature=shareI recently discovered this myself after searching everywhere to recreate CC's excellent rendering/lighting quality, which the keyword when using this software system is "ATMOSPHERES" or ".Atm" file extension for those who are researching this topic (there are separate atmosphere sub-folders for both applications that you can simply copy and paste between windows when searching the file explorer locations). It is layered behind a right click option on the atmosphere file within the CC content menu, then file location (in the same way you would right click to look at a file's properties) Then copying and pasting those CC .atm settings into Iclone content menu after finding it's own atmosphere file folder [for Iclone>Stage>custom>atmosphere>right click find file>copy and past desired .atm from CC atmosphere folder collection into Iclone's window] Hopefully the soon to be released CC4/Iclone8 update will have this as an auto-export included when moving characters/files (for the #devs who are monitoring😉}...to say I'm excited for this new release [free release for those that qualified] is an understatement, it's going to be awesome! ...take care...and all the best to those who spend what seem countless, futile hours/nights creating themselves into what look like dead-ends...don't give up...it usually begins to work when you are on the verge of quitting, then revelations and break throughs happen🤣 ...Batman out🦇🌹🤙

I use CC3 lighting in IC and LUT also. I used to use Atmosphere, but it is not as good as what I mentioned.

reputationmobilellc (1/15/2021) I have been trying to find a training tutorial where I can use the same lighting as I used in character 3.0 for Iclone 7. Everyone seems to know it exists, but no one seems to know where the link to the video is.
My characters in character creator look amazing but lose their spark when imported into iclone7. I have all the latest versions of software and using windows 10.
Please help.Saving as a project is a work around to what should be something handled by the export from CC to IC. I queried it when I wondered my rendering in IC looked different to when I rendered in CC. I think support said they were looking at updating the export function for IC8.I hope so.I think its an important one. Such a pain getting a nice character in CC3 then having to tweak stuff in IC where render result is different. I rather expect everything to work the same in both applications which is something I forget - they are different applications though look the same - can be confusing !!. Hey -wheres that button .... oh yeh, thats in CC not IC -ha ha !! Thoughts please

The lighting in Character Creator is available in iClone as an Atmosphere. It's called _DH_Default_CC.
