Currently finalizing my likeness sculpt in ZBrush - althought the character has lots of make-up, I want to have all anatomics correct. Not paying too much attention to the ears because they will be covered by hair

In this video I demostrate how I build up the realtime haircards. First I generate strands from Robert Ramsay's Hairstrand Designer tool. In 3DSMax I map these to cards which I bind to splines that are manually placed on the scalp. I tweak by rotating and twisting themAlso I did some posing tests in Character Creator - the dress will be replaced ....Check my ArtStation for more in-depth material https://www.artstation.com/artbeat

Making a Virtual Reality dressAdding to last week's posing setup; this week I'm sharing the making of a game-ready dress for my 3D character. This process starts by digitally sewing an actual dress which is then optimized for use in realtime applications. Details are added by projection Color, Normal and Height textures on top - these simulate details without actually modelling them.To make the dress stick and move with a character, it has Weights painted onto it - basically color values which determine which part of garment moves with which bone. For specific poses - like this sitting one - the garment is manually altered to make it drape more natural.
