Thanks so much Mike for taking the time to explain this. I genuinely appreciate it.

Since the hair is now an accessory you can just move it using the mouse (with the hair selected press W to move and E to rotate).  But first, as I said, adjust the pivot so it's dead center if it's not already (go to Modify and then Edit Pivot and you can press the center to align it to the center).  Once you have it in the right position all will be well as long as it's attached to the head (so look at the modify panel and make sure the parent is the head and, if not, change it to be the head).

The reason the hair bends like that is the weighting of it -- NOT the physics weighting (which is handled by the physics map) but the weight of the object in terms of the bones of the avatar.  This is a problem with longer hair in particular although I'm surprised this hair has that issue being so short.  You can edit the weighting but it's just easier to convert to an accessory.

And just FYI - here's an image showing that animation distortion problem on the SWAM Calais hair - if it worked properly, I wouldn't have to convert it to an accessory in the first place

Hi Mike, thank you for your response. Yes, the hair is there, it has moved down between her feet (I didn't think to look) and the hair is upended, like the character would be lying on her back. I have no idea how to fix this! I hate to ask, but how do I  get this back up on her head and attached for animation?

By the way, none of this would be an issue if the hair worked correctly in the first place. As I said, after the previous update, the lower part of the hair seemed to be weighted in such a way that it stays set in place, while the upper part moves, thus creating huge distortion. I would think Reallusion would have this under control, as they sell this hair!

In addition, I want to say that I enjoy your YouTube videos, especially the "iClone Hair - creating with Blender and Hair plugin" - I purchased that plug in and am planning on learning that technique. I'm very glad that you have such a nice clear tutorial. When I bought the tool on Gumroad, they had their own tutorials, but the narrator has such a thick accent that I find it difficult to decipher what he's talking about!

(PS - I just viewed my posted reply and I have no idea why the last part is highlighted. This is crazy)

I don't have that hair but my guess is the pivot point changed and thus the hair is there but offscreen.  Do this -- with the hair selected (from the panel just highlight it), press F on your keyboard.  That ought to focus on the hair.  If it IS there, just go in and change the pivot point to the center of the hair accessory, and drag it down to your avatar and reposition it.

If you still don't see it then it's another issue but let's hope that's it for now.

Since the last update, I have been having an issue with SWAM Calais hair. Prior to that update everything worked, but after that update the bottom of the hair would not animate with the upper part, and created stretches and angles. Reallusion tech support advised that I convert the hair to an accessory and that seemed to fix the animation problem.

However, I just installed tonight's CC3 update - and now if I convert the hair to accessory the hair VANISHES. It's just not there at all. The hair is listed as an accessory in the Scene panel, but is nowhere to be seen. Please see attached image.

I have a PC computer running Windows 10, with an I9-9900KF cpu, RTX 2080 ti gpu, 32 gb of ram, and 6 terabytes of storage
