Hi!, I am about to buy CC3 and use it as part of my pipeline for my game characters, but one thing disturbe me a little.
I dont understand this from EULA

Notice for developers or vendors using Reallusion, or 3rd-party content for mass distributionincluding game titles, apps, online services or kiosk for, but not limited to various platforms: PC,Mac, mobile and game consoles -- To get the free mass distribution rights for using Reallusioncontent, developers and vendors must first register their game or application information withReallusion (please contact marketing@reallusion.com), in order to receive the license agreementletter. Please provide evidence of using Reallusion content in your project or products (such asproduct or service page URL, or credit announcement) and confirm if the credit disclosure isincluded.
https://www.reallusion.com/Reallusion_Content_EULA.pdf

That this means that my project could not be approved by Reallusion? Why? imagine work for 2 years in a game and then Reallusion doesnt approve the game.
I dont know, it sounds a little ridiculous right? I mean I didnt saw this restriction in other software I own.

I am also in a prototyping phase.
The item in the EULA indicates that URLs and other stuff must be provided, but for obvious reasons I don't have yet.

Could someone explain me this?

thanks

Hi...

The main purpose of the Mass Distribution License is so we can be sure we don't miss any games and applications being released using Reallusion software.

The only reason you are likely to be refused a mass distribution license is if your game or application contains anything that could be deemed illegal such as racist propaganda or extreme pornography.

Ok I see,
As a feedback, probably Reallusion should add the same thing you wrote here in the EULAs FAQs.
It is a very frequent question in gaming forums, and most likely impact your sales. It is a little gray.

Simply as a security that a game will not be rejected if it does not inflict .. [points that it must not inflict]

thanks

Interesting. Can you tell me in which jurisdictions racist propaganda is illegal? While you're at it, do you have company guidelines on what constitutes 'extreme pornography'?

Please find the FAQ of Content EULA: Can I use The Models to make an adult themed game?

As long as the member’s creation is not defamatory, libelous, threatening, harmful to minors, and does not violate child pornography or child sexual exploitation law.

Hi,

I have bought the iclone, CC3 pipeline and headshot addon too. Now I am planning to buy the 4 in 1 digital human for my pipeline. But suddenly I looked at the license and I am confused.
I am a solo filmmaker and I am trying to make a movie rendered in UE4/Blender. Cant I use the characters made in CC3 using headshot (real photos of the actors, not the CC3 default models) and skingen. ?
What are the restrictions?
Please explain as the restrictions can be really a showstopper and then reallusion products won't be any use to me going forward.
Thanks
