../.. There are no "bones" attached to the eyes ../..Actually there are two bones attached to the eyes, or rather to which eyes are skinned.
Those two bones, through IK, make it possible for the eyes to look at a target by pointing the bones to the target.
This would be impossible
or very cumbersome without bones (you would have to manually adjust the rotation or morphs of each eyes with approximative results).

Or in iClone when you try to Link an object (here a Cone that follow Position and Rotation of the Left Eye Bone) to a "Part" of another object. The bones are in the parts list:
