I realise I have am LOT to learn about IC7  having just bought it but am surprised it seems basic characters cannot have eyeballs manipulated  - I am not talking about eyelids that blink or close and open eyes but rotation of the eyeball itself. This I consider a 'most fundamental' feature to animation.
Are there characters that allow this ?
I have imported daz character via fbx with CC3 pipleline and no control of eyeball on that figure in Iclone so fbx doesn't seem to bring in the eyeball mesh.
I have more testing to do but reach out to experienced animators for quick information.
Thanks in advance

Of course you can control the eyes -- how are you trying?

There are no "bones" attached to the eyes.  You control them with the Modify/Expressions (and/or individual face parts -- in this case, the eyes).  How the heck do you think the iClone characters look at you?

Here is a picture to illustrate one way:

Under Modify, select Face Key. You can then move/rotate facial features by selecting the with the mouse (they become green) and then moving the mouse to get them in the desired position.

I suggest checking the manual: http://manual.reallusion.com/iClone_7/ENU/Pro/Default.htm#iClone_7/Pro_7.4/00_LandingPages/3D_Facial_Animation.htm%3FTocPath%3D3D%2520Facial%2520Animation%7C_____0

And you have the "Look at" (Target/Camera) feature which is probably the most important and easy one.

../.. There are no "bones" attached to the eyes ../..

Actually there are two bones attached to the eyes, or rather to which eyes are skinned.

Those two bones, through IK, make it possible for the eyes to look at a target by pointing the bones to the target.
This would be impossible or very cumbersome without bones (you would have to manually adjust the rotation or morphs of each eyes with approximative results).

You can clearly see those bones in 3DXchange:

Or in iClone when you try to Link an object (here a Cone that follow Position and Rotation of the Left Eye Bone) to a "Part" of another object. The bones are in the parts list:

Thank you all for your replies which have enabled me to get a handle on the eyes. I think part of my problem was trying to use the 'icons' to control the selection [ which I realise now are for adding some head movement ] instead of dragging mouse anywhere in " Face Key pane " .  When I used the "look at " it seemed it was the head which was orientated toward target the eyes remaining positioned in the head as already set. I will check it further as I'm probably wrong. I have yet to discover the bones "list" . as I said I only just got the program. Much to learn so forgive me if I take short cuts by "asking" Yes I have looked at many videos and just got the 1001 page manual . I'm a Daz Carrara Pro user and have a fair knowledge of animation but have to get used to Iclone's Interface. Oh yes ! Face Key did work on the Genesis character I imported.
Thanks again - I'm sure we'll meet again  [ me with more questions ] ha ha!

In the same "Look at (O)" section you will find a slider called "Look at Weight". By default iClone mix the targeting of the eyes with the targeting of the face, by moving the slider full left or full right you can dissociate the movement of the Eyes from the movement of the Head.
