Peter,

I know this is an old thread, but I'm trying to learn this to teach my granddaughter and this particular approach (replacing the various sprites) is NOT what I want to do. What I'd like to do is covered in the incredibly hard to follow (because it's so fast and not commented) view you guys supplied:

The problem is I can't get it to work even *slightly*.  I'm in the processing of putting the video into Premiere so I can try stepping through frame by frame but unfortunately the whole screen isn't shown all the time so even that is almost impossible to follow.  Would it be at all possible for Kai to do a tutorial showing THIS particular process (one in which you simply use the entire character you've drawn and do not intend to break it up into sprites)?  Also, this one covers the 360 head and I can't find a good one that's nearly as easy (but, again, this is all done at warp speed so not even a chipmunk could get this all).

Hi Mike

Please take a look at the video below. Kai already produced a more detailed version of the demo video you showed. This should help.

Hi Kellytoons,
Reallusion needs to organize all the tutorials on YouTube. Tutorial videos should assume students have no previous knowledge of the software. I am hoping for new tutorials too.  They need a whole channel dedicated to cartoon animator 4. They should have extra time to create new videos since majority of companies have started work from home.

have a great week.

Hi Peter,

I am using the sprite replacement method to create a a characters but I am having issues with the software. I am hoping support gives me priority because I want to do some live streaming with this method.

If you are using the Sprite Replacement method in Cartoon Animator then I'm assuming you have followed the tutorial below. This has always worked for me in the past so if you are having problems with it, please let us know at which part you have issues and we will look into it.

Hi Barrie,

Rigging has always been a challenge for this software. You need to make all the joints are correctly aligned. Its a very time consuming process. I have a few videos on my channel that might help you out. Link is at the top of the topic.

have a great weekend.

Yes. I use the Pipeline version and Affinity Designer for creating the sprites.

I am having the same issues with "Keep Parent Transform" as well. I think I am following the tutorial correctly.

I have looked all over for a solution. I see comments where people have trouble with it.

Then it is stated that it works for others.

I have not seen a confirmed solution where someone with the problem then fixes it or finds a solution.

What can I provide to help with finding a solution with this?  Post a video share a files?  Version numbers of software?

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

My issues is with the Keep Parent Transform button. Its stopped working. Is there a way to reset the software without affecting all the downloaded content. There is a work space default in the software in Cartoon Animator but I want to reset software feature too. Uninstalling and reinstalling takes a very long time to do. Two days, I have been waiting for a response from support.
