Recently i have had a weird issue creating spotlights and pointlights, whenever i open a project i'm working on sometimes the first time i create a light, by using either the create menu or copying a light iclone either takes a lot of time to create it (iclone becomes unresponsive) or it just crashes. Next time i open the project it works like a charm. Anyone else seeing this?

Ditto. Yesterday, I had a project crash no less than five times, and almost every time it had to do with adding, duplicating or moving a light or moving the camera. Using a solid-state hard drive, 32 GB of RAM, and an nVidia Geforce 1070 with 8GB of vRAM.

So we can investigate this issue further, please you can you add the following information to your FT submission. Thanks. 1. Does this situation (creating/copying spotlights and pointlights random cause the crash) still occur in iClone 7.7? 2. Does it always happen on a specific project? If so can you provide the project? 3. Do you have iray installed?

Interesting. I had opened a ticket as well but then for Adding IES to the lights. And I had in the past a crash with Adding lights too. This is in 7.6.1 and 7.7 btw.
Got a link for getting / creating the log and dump files, but the link doesn't exist. So I am waiting for a new link from Molly RL , unless someone else has the working link?
Thanks

As a work around, before adding or copying a new light, can you try to switch to the Auxiliary Light and then add or copy a light and see if it still crash ?

Forgot to ask,
how do you copy the lights? I tried Spotlights, and I cannot copy those
