i was getting problems with alembic inside unity. the fact is you really cant use long full characters animation sequencel in alembic but you can do as the adam director do. use alembic only for the simulations like hair and cloths. the main problem was the desync between the fbx file and the alembic file. today i see the alembic file generated by iclone inside unity and discover the alembic generated by iclone is 60 fps. and you cant change. so was trying sync alembic hairs at 60fps with characters body at 30 fps. so this will never get sucess. now i avoid this problem exporting fbx at 60 fps and the desync problems are gone. but the iclone alembic export need a function for user chose between 30 and 60 fps. o/

Nop is not solved. sometimes the full character in alembic get good fps inside unity , sometimes not. the sync with cloths and hair sometimes happen, sometimes not, and the biggest problem is : i dont know if is a unity side problem or a iclone side problem. if the iclone characters dont get problem when export for unity ( the hair from iclone is unusable to edit with unity cloth, the object rotates and go away from the head character, and the balls selections be bigger like hell.)i put alembic at side and redo my hairs simulation inside unity but i cant cause the hair rotate and go away from head and this is frustating, i start think the unique way to have animated hair inside unity is using unity hair designer.
