Hi,

I am recording facial animation with LIVE FACE to an iClone Avatar via Motion LIVE. The facial animation works, I can see the mouth, eyes, and other facial features animate according to my face. But when I tried to record audio by toggling on "Record Audio for Viseme Track", there is no audio recorded. I could not hear anything in playback or when I export the audio. There is a PuppetClip in the expression component, but the voice and lips in Viseme are empty. Both voice and music volume is 100 and in the windows volume mixer, iClone 7 is not muted and its volume is max, so audio settings should be fine. I can record my voice using Windows Voice Recorder, so microphone settings should be fine.

The TTS works fine, I entered some text and when I pressed OK, the audio comes out and Viseme now contains voice and lips.
But when I did Record Voice, there was some weird behaviour. There is no waveform graphics when I press the record button. The record button is still enabled while the stop button is always disabled while I keep pressing the record button even though there is a mic icon show up on the bottom right.https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/2b079055-c05a-4486-8f91-d75f.png
What should I do? Is there anyway I could record my voice with Motion LIVE?

Hi...

There may be an issue where the incorrect recording device is setup as default. You can check which device is setup as the default by going to your Windows Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Manage Audio Devices.
Then make sure the microphone you are using is selected as the default. If this doesn't help, try using a different recording device (if possible) and see if you have the same problem with that.

I tried to use other recording device, it worked, then I compare the settings. Apparently, the first device had these settings disabled.

I turned those on and it worked.
Thanks!
