pity Zbrush doesn't export alembic curves either I suspect the Poser hair I convert from lines with Hair Converter would work too if only Alembic possible likewise Carrara hair interestingly Octane render sees both as hair so under the hood things very similar yes tried both LAMH and strandbased hair from DAZ using Alembic exporter, no luck not even in Octane hair is something terribly software specific

Hello Bassline303, Very nice their examples, unfortunately I don't have Cinema 4D. Well anyway I will continue to learn the basic UE anyway. Incidentally, today was an update UE 4.25 Regards rosuckmedia:):)

No , they are using hair cards / polygons / Ngons. For Groom you need Splines or Curves converted to hair like the DAZ Hair Strands, but DAZ can't export Alembic Hair.
Here , that looks more like hair strands ( Blender 2.83 ) :

Thanks :) I read that Blender can do hair. Could this be used as a base: https://cgcookie.com/articles/how-to-model-hair-in-blender

Thx 3Dtester , It depends on what you want to do , if you only need a ponytail , I would use normal hair physics. Reallusion will come up with an Update , so you can import the IClone Physics.
If you want to do something like a Yeti or more realistic hair , I would use Groom. It is still experimental (beta) and needs a good Graphics Card ( I use a RTX 2080ti ) , but the Physics are really accurate. I guess Niagara Physics will come for cloth too.
I found an easy tutorial , what to do. He is using C4d for the hair , as I do , but I guess Blender 2.83 (the newest alpha/beta) can do hair styles too , but I am not sure , never tested it.

Looks good
Do you currently recommend this instead of regular hair with physics?

Did a Speed Test with UE 4.25 Preview 3. Groom is getting better & better. CC3 Default Character with Hair Physics. Only Mirror does not work.

I'm not sure exactly what this is showing, looks like baking the raytrace lighting into the scene, right?
