My " Digital Beauties Content" is growing :-) CC3 Created , rendered in UE4 + Groom It's getting difficult to judge if this was artificially conducted or filmed.

thx unit23 , I guess you have seen the teaser of UE5 , I was blown away. Don't know if I still need other 3D renderer than UE5 in the future , for what I am doing :-)

How to copy iClone characters/animations from one unreal project to another?
I manually copied all folders and files I could find, including Auto Setup Plugin and cc shaders. It seems that all assignments of materials/textures… are gone. I only get a grey character.
Importing the animations I am currently working on from iClone/fbx to UE takes about 15 minutes each… so, is there another way to do it?

UE4.24 to 4.25 ?
If its both 4.24 do a migrate. (Right click on the Folder you want to migrate in UE4) If its 4.24 to 4.25 , copy the CCShader Folder and RLFolder to the content folder of your project. Don't copy AutoSetup.

I have run into this situation too. It can be for 2 reasons - 1) you went from say 4.24 to 4.23, Unreal can't always work with future engine'd content. So you can use 4.23 stuff in a 4.24, but not 4.24-stuff in a 4.23. But I think this is the reason- 2) you have to maintain the EXACT folder structure if manually copied from one project to another. Meaning, all folders must be identically named and sub-foldered exactly the same along the way. What's gone wrong is the files can't reference what they are looking for probably because some folder is not completely chained with matching name and sub/parent-folder structure. I know, it sucks.

Thanks, that was the reason. I changed one name of the folder under 'content'. Now it is working, great!

In this folder I have files starting with 'RL'. Probably I will do another import in 4.25 (with the new Auto Setuo) anyway to have all new features (physics). Edit: I am really looking forward to iClone 7.8 with Auto Setup 1.1 to have "Fully Support Reallusion Digital Human Shader". Hopefully the rendering quality of the characters in Unreal Engine comes closer to iClone/CC and improves even more.

I always place all my Reallusion Character in a RLFolder , if you use Live-Link its called RLContent.

kungphu (4/13/2020) Figured this might be the best place to post this question. I’ve made 2 different Unreal shorts. I’ve followed the tutorials to a T as far as setting up frame rate at 60fps with Unreal Livelink. When I playback the animation via Livelink everything syncs great. However once I get the animation into Unreal and use the sequencer it doesn’t matter if I capture at 60fps or 30fps, the animation is shorter than what I have in clone. So the audio will still be going and the animation is already done.
For a speaking scene it’s an absolute nightmare getting not only the beginning of each scene to match, but now stretch the scenes duration to match. It’s nearly impossible to match correctly. You just have to wing it. I have no idea why I constantly get this error. I’ve set my frame rates In Unreal and am able to record from iclone at 45-55fps to Unreal. Help me Obi-Wan you’re my only hope!( IClone and UE4 are not in Sync via Live-Link) - For UE4 Users with the same problem , Kungphu found a solution : I’ve been frustrated with this SINCE DECEMBER!!!!! I finally figured out what the problem is. DO NOT follow the Reallusion tutorials when they tell you to select fixed frame rate in your project settings. As long as you don’t choose fixes frames, everything magically matches up. Lip sync was virtually impossible due to how fast it would copy into sequencer. I tried everything for months and luckily stumbled on this when I forgot to select fixed frame rate per the Reallusion tutorial and it was finally timed perfectly with audio and the frames in my iclone project matched the frames in the sequencer.
