1970GTX (3/8/2020) you can also "box" trigger animations to occur when in proximity to a NPC or prop this would require a very basic blueprint (users should learn basics of blueprinting and materiels) this is a very handy way to get some complex scenes filmed
you can also add more cameras to 3rd person blueprint which is a easy way to film
I'll edit this later with a tut or you can easily find one on YT in the meantime
Yeah , want to know more about that , please.

I have started a ThirdPerson blueprint test project, Now i need to find out how to select my own animations for my character.
Edit: Seems i need to learn how to create my own blueprint.

Bassline303 (3/8/2020) When I have the time , I will do a tutorial about this , the easy way.Looking forward to it :) But i think it doesn't hurt to look into the blueprint system as well. https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/Engine/Blueprints/BP_HowTo/BasicUsage/index.htmlI didn't use LiveLink yet, but from what i read it creates a pretty complex blueprint setup. So, this is a really exciting aspect of UE4.

If you want create your own Animation Blueprint with Blendspace from scratch , here is what to do , explained in 15min.
I would use a XBox 360 Controller or similar .... to handle a large number of animations in Realtime.

a simple blueprint to get started would be adding a particle system or a light to your third person charactor this is achieved by using the add component button (in third person blueprint) and choosing particle system or light then on the right menu you can select any particle installed in your project from the drop down menu the results will show in the preview window, you will have to position it where you want it to emit. from there you can start to learn how to trigger it with your keyboard or joystick i started with adding a fire and a light to a destructible brazier and from there went through some pretty tough tuts to get my feet wet here is dean ashford's playlist, a good place to learn from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aE0EbWdnjTI&list=PLaEAPX6ZtxoLtX55_UuuXHYdoQws9D8gk

Thanks @1970GTX :) Some interesting things there, which i have to try out at some point. After watching a few of these, i realized that i need some more basic step-by-step guide. And i found these series: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCyYS9kMLEdB03GxJXqtmFQTo me they are just perfect, so i could exactly follow every step from the beginning (blank project). And i must say that guy explains everthing very clearly, everything makes sense, and he also gives the viewer enough time to follow. I finally plugged in my second monitor so it is more comfortable to watch the tutorials while working on the project :)

dual monitors are a must with following tuts. making spaghetti with blueprints and materiels isn't as hard as people think, one just needs to get acclimated and stuff quickly becomes intuitive
