Firstly, let me say THANK YOU RL for putting it in back stage because if I would've bought the pack first, I would've been really upset.

Secondly, Kudos to you guys at RL becfause this is by far the BEST looking set of anime characters I've seen for iClone yet! I mean seriously, you guys did a REALLY REALLY great job on these...

So when I saw this in BackStage I was thrilled. Man, all the possibilities... but then I took a closer look at the way the character was made (specifically Kana [the blue haired one]) and found out a few things... She's not an exact G3 character like Peter said she was... The face, hair, and eyes appear to simply be acceseries that don't really do anything but sit there... well the hair does have spring animation which is cool... but... it appears that the face cannot be animated.... a big let down for me as I wanted to do more with them than just have tthem dance... Is there a way to create facial animations with them or no?

Darn.

I really hope you guys make more characters in this style, but next time, have it so we can animate the face please. I know it's possible to make this face with the actual faces with a little work. If you guys can do that, I will happily by these as I could totally use these.

I can still use Kana right now for some shorts... she just won't smile... or talk... or blink for that matter.

I have purchased a few things from 3drt and their stuff is really good.

Agree would be nice to be able to fully animate the faces in the Anime Pack. Not having the pack myself a question and possible suggestion could you change the head or not and use the head anime syle to add this would then give you the option to animate facial.

Just a thought.

Those are pretty good but yes, they also have no facial animations I bet... but you will be able to bring those into iClone when 3DX 4 comes out... wow that's a lot of formats that they come in.

However... I still think these characters in the Jam band look better as far as the style of look for anime goes. These characters remind me of a sort of Miku Hatsune design.

These characters are great. The ONLY and I litterally mean the ONLY issue is that they have no face animations. How are they suppose to be singing with NO FACIAL ANIMATIONS???

...even though in MikuMikuDance, there's no face animtions either but still... this isn't MikuMikuDance, it's iClone.

I'm hoping more anime characters of this quality will come out for iClone (and not just for dance, but like school uniform stuff, normal slice of life type of things, and well... just all sorts of things), but next time with facial movements.

I have the Jam Pack and they do have very basic facial animation under the perform tab....
The set from 3Drt dont look like they have. I love playing with the Animation Masters set but it limited because of the lack of face animation....

But with the new 3dexchange the ability to bring in pre rigged characters could do away with this problem. Look at Quidam 3 that can create a very wide range of low poly (pro version, expensive) characters fully rigged including chartoon style ones.

I feel that iClone already provides comprehensive support for easily replicating this character, in a way that is fully animatable.

I took a few minutes this morning and got this far--see below.

If someone will explain to me whether I am authorized to upload a character based on Violet, with Jana's head, I would be happy to turn this over to folks that want it. Body is G3; head is G4.

Giving you the textures alone would not be sufficient, because of the many modifications to head and body proportions.

Hey animatech, I actually got them when you gave them away at the wolf and dulci show... however they are all in one vns file so I'm not sure how to split them up and actually use them. Any suggestions?

Also, I actually have Violet and Jana. If it's made out of the default characters then I don't see why it's not ok. I could totally use it as a base for other girl anime characters.

Oh and they have basic facial animtions huh? (talking about the jam band girls)

Well then I'll have to see what they are. I've come up with a way to do some limited face animtions such as eye blinks and mouth movements. But I don't want to accidentally break their face if they have some preset already so I'll have to take a look when I get home.

Yeah the Jam Band Girls , if you right click on your character then go to perform, there is a set of actions for the head, making them blink, wink n talk:D
