Sure, Im on the road, but I will when I get back. If you want to try without altering what you got: 1) Load another helicopter 2) Create a path ORBIT 3)Link the ORBIT path to the original helicopter and move it to the same location of the helicopter, shrink it to about 1-2 feet across. 4) Pick this path as a path for the 2nd helicopter 5)Change the path position over time. You can use multiples of 100 as a position. Trial and error 6) Hide the original helicoptter
Try it, it looks good.

Hi Pedrosura,
Yes, It seems to be a very good idea, and if indeed, you can show a video, it should be great

Hey Charly, great video. I have been working lately on a scene where a spaceship takes off from a platform and speeds up until it’s gone. Even though it is a spaceship, I want it to look like its flying and almost look like a helicopter when it’s raising off the floor. So, the technique I came up with is to create a dummy prop that will represent the POSITION of the Spaceship. Then, I link the Spaceship to that dummy prop. Then I animate the scene by changing the POSITION DUMMY PROP over time.
Then, and here is the cool part, I set up a Path (the one that says ORBIT) and I link the PATH to the POSITION DUMMY PROP. I shrink the PATH. Then I set the Spaceship to the path and I change its position along the path over the timeline so that the spaceship will do multiple orbits along the timeline. For a Helicopter the size of the path is perhaps a couple of feet.
So Why do all this? The helicopter with move up/down/left/right as it flies as if the air and turbulence and the pilot are all altering its position so that it looks like it is flying. So this makes it oscillate about its position, if you want it to oscillate about its orientation, then you can set up a dummy prop along its path (link to POSITION DUMMY PROP) and have the spaceship LOOK AT this dummy prop. Now, it will oscillate about its orientation.
If this is confusing, disregard, I am going to do a quick video to show this. It adds realism. As an added bonus, if you set up a camera inside linked to the POSITION DUMMY PROP. this camera will not be oscillation and it will be steady, yet the helicopter will be moving and appear like it is flying. Let me know if it makes sense, if not, I am making a quick video to show this...

And with your ability with python, I think you 'll do something really really good :)
Btw, I totally gave up Iray because of the real possibilities of GI and AO, rendered in few minutes against hours and hours with Iray ;)

Very inspiring. Hmm, I need to create a plane animation and record a short Red baron video :-)

Ok guys, This is the scene of the helicopter. The effect of the rotor is simply given by yellow colour of extremity of propellers.

gordryd (4/5/2019) Yes, the rotor effect is quite convincing -- I'm still not quite sure what you mean by 'put a circle for the effect'. Would it be possible to show how you did this with some iClone screenshots? Thanks!Hello, really sorry, I didn't see this, I'll do that and show you a screen shot @ James, thank you , You're right, I'll do that :)
