CC3 Pipeline not working since upgrade

I went through the steps of upgrading my CC3 Pipeline to the latest version a couple of days ago.  I didn't use the Hub. I just downloaded and ran the installation program.  I was very busy at the time and can't, for the life of me, remember whether I checked it was all working.

Anyway, today it crashes on startup (see image).   I tried opening the Hub, which isn't something I've been using, and it tells me there is a major update.  I tried a few times to run the update but the hub just closes itself down immediately after the download progress bar fills up.

I've now un-installed the Hub and am not sure what to do next.

QUESTIONS:

(1) If I un-install CC3 and re-install, how do I keep my number of possible downloads from being reduced? 

(2) The Hub just installed itself at some point.  Do I need to re-install it?

(3) I have the Skins and Morphs package.  Will I be able to re-download it?

Any help would be much appreciated.
