We are very new to this.  We are trying to modify the texture of a simple rope belt to look like a simple leather belt. 
(We cannot find a leather belt anywhere so far that would look like what John the Baptist would have worn.  It needs to be very simple and rugged looking with no metal pieces or modern designs on it.) 
With much thanks to Kelley Toons for taking it upon himself to create the PERFECT John the Baptist for us (THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!), now all we need to do is either modify the rope belt to a leather looking texture or find a John the Baptist type of leather belt - and we are all set to start this amazing venture. 
How do we modify rope texture to a leathery texture?
