Was there any reason why Kinect wasn't included as an available profile for Motion Live, or are there any plans for its inclusion.
Thx.

Given the Kinect has been discontinued, I doubt it, though, given I use my Kinect still, I would really like them to do this

Where did you hear that Kinect has been discontinued?
Who, or what, told you that?

MS discontinued the Kinect XBox One late last year, IIRC.  That doesn't mean you still can't buy them (and, if you want, I have four brand new ones I'll sell you.  Seriously -- I actually cornered the market on both the Kinects and the far more expensive PC controllers needed for them when the announcement came.  This weekend I'm about to eBay a lot of them).

You can even still get the original Kinect, although not new anymore (unless you *really* find a steal).  And that hasn't been made for many years now.  Folks like to hang on to these things.  I would advise anyone who likes them to get theirs now (and, like I say, I have some you can get :>Wink.

Reallusion are only selling their own, inhouse, developed Plugin for the hardware - they are not selling the device.

Oh, okay.  On the MSFT end of things the hardware is no longer being manufactured.
But so RL is actively marketing and promoting the Kinect as part of the Mocap lineup, so I am curious of its exclusion from Motion Live.

That's nice, because I also still have a Kinect. I think it's OK for sitting down stuff.

I hope it will be free if you currently have the iClone Kinect plugin...Unsure

Thx to Zeronimo for the link.

@Animagaic - You know what, it just might be. Faceware and PNeuron were grandfathered over to existing owners, perhaps Kinect will follow this trend.

A head-mounted Faceware with Kinect....interesting!
