One short coming noted in the videos is that the hidden side of your hand can't be seen by the sensor.  Perhaps a possible fix is to have one leap motion controller mounted on the bottom (on your desk pointing up at your hands) and a second leap motion controlled mounted to your head looking down at your hands.  Is this possible?   I believe Live Motion Plugin is suppose to allow multiple  MOCAP devices to operate at once.

I don't think you need worry about that.  While it's possible a hand position can be occluded, in actual practice it rarely or never happens.

There really isn't any "hidden" side of your hands that isn't accounted for.  It's *possible* you could bend your fingers in such a way that the base of the hand occludes them, but you have to be either really nimble or double jointed.  Worst case scenerio, where the palms of your hand is up (and the controller is on the desktop) and you curl your fingers into a fist would seem to be this case, but in practice Leap handles that really well.  I can't see how the complication of an extra controller would make things any better than it already is.

I was thinking about when one hand is on top of or above the other hand, perhaps two controllers would help.

If you're talking about tracking the forearms (the only time this would be the case for the hands to intersect) forget about it -- they won't track that closely (just watch the videos and you'll see -- you can't possibly get them to cross. Hell, you can barely get them to move up and down).

As far as I'm concerned forearm tracking just isn't practical.  Hand and fingers work great, though.
