Latest test in Eevee importing iClone animation, in this one I fixed the eyes and transparency, took around 1.5 second per frame, which isn't bad considering Blender 2.8 is not even beta yet!
Blender 2.8 will definitely be in my pipeline, along with iClone, now if CC3 could come out! Smile

Not iClone related, but it gives a decent look at how far Blender 2.8 and Eevee are in development, really cool stuff!

Working on a last test, in this one I figured out transparency and few other things looks a lot better this way! Smile
Will render the full animation when I have time, but so far Eevee is promising, could very well become a good tool to replace iClone real-time engine, which is lacking IMHO, not to mention that with Eevee you get all the goodies that comes with Blender!

Worked on it a bit, made transparency work, sorta, added a sun light, not much really, looks better IMHO, next I will look at strand hair in Eevee, should be interesting! Smile

The principled shader is great, and so easy, you want glass, no problems, set roughness to zero, transmission to 1, walla, you want frosted glass, no problems, just krank up transmission roughness!

Problem is node system doesn't work like cycles. The same project in cycles doesn't render well in Eevee without fixing the materials and textures.

I setup this file in Cycles, then opened it in Eevee, if you use the Principled shader, you are basically there, just a few things that are different, like in Eevee you get several modes for transparency, but the scene will render without having to change anything!

Wasn't using Principled shader before normally diffuse and toon only with blend, just started using a month back. So that could be the hiccup.

CTA5, Iclone 7, 3D Exchange Pro, Character Creator 3, Popcornfx plugin, Zbrush, Blender, Vue 2014, Adobe cc suite, Spriter
Homebuild Workstation (Pretty old now but still working great) Win 10, Intel i7 950, 24 GB RAM DDR3, Gigabyte x58a-ud7 motherboard, AMD R9 390 sapphire 8GB VRAM.

Cool test YoYoMaster.  I think it will be cool to see what Blender Evee is capable of.
I find that look on par with Unreal and Unity.  You have to mess with the materials in those as well, almost to the point where it's quite laborious.
Much quicker getting things done in iClone.  But is it just my imagination, or iClone doesn't render that 'sharp', right?

Not to me at least, as for the materials, Eevee uses the Principled shader, same as the Disney shader, very simple to use either by using nodes(top), or the shader editor(right), that scene only has a HDR for lightning, I was a bit lazy setting it up! Smile

Blender 2.8 is not even in beta yet, many of the tools are still not working, FBX import is one of them!
