PS - You had me at "Hi everyone"...(sniff)...you had me at "Hi everyone..."

Ah, but I notice she didn't have you at "the rendering speed is the same as nVidia" -- meaning, of course, slow (and thus not suitable for animation, at least for most of us).

LOL...I knew it already, but I think we have to really come to terms with what is even possible to have.  And, you are right, KT.

Iray will be slow, but with denoiser it will be faster.
Octane, the fastest, already has the majority of Brigade engine in it, per the developers, so what we are testing now with Version 4 test build is as fast as we will see.
To me, it (Version 4 test build) is really not faster than Version 3, which in my opinion is slower at times than Version 2.

The only real-time thing will be RTX, and if you look online at Nvidia's presentation of it in the past month, it doesn't always look real-time.  Maybe the amount of GPUs they used makes a difference.
Because on the UE4 Storm Troopers with Captain Phasma demo, it did look real-time...BUT...they were using 4 Volta (4 x $3K = $12K).

So, if any of us are thinking we are going to get a real-time raytracer anytime soon, forget it.   And, you need multi-GPU, no matter what the case.
If iClone goes RTX, then maybe this will be the closest and best chance to have what you really want to see.  But now, Iray with denoiser is one of the best solutions I think, all around.
But, yeah, 1 GPU will not cut it on a normal to big scene.
(Oh BTW - Redshift isn't faster than Octane.  No, it is in fact slower.  I have used it.  Slower.)

Hi everyone,

Iray Plugin
  1. We will continuously improve iClone real-time render, and keep to support more renderers, so users have more choices to different needs. We chose to integrate Iray first because NVIDIA standard greatly utilizes multi-GPU render and AI. Furthermore, Iray supports MDL standard material format, which is adopted by Substance, and could be easily extend to V-Ray.
Reallusion Team

WHOOOOOOAAAAAA!!!!!
More renderers?  Iray first!?     So, there will be a second?  and a third!....And, a Fantastic Fourth?!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:
That sounds like the door is wide open for development on other rendering solutions, I love the sound of that, iClone site is going to see an increase in traffic with better images showcased on the site.

Will the upcoming Iray have Render Passes?
Separate renderable canvases for Diffuse, Specular, AO/shadow, etc.
THX!

Did anyone notice that Zane is the only character, which has detailed 4K maps (for both - head and body)?? Those maps are quite different from maps for the rest of the characters.
On the negative side his body and head do not automatically convert to special "Avatar Skin Preset" for Indigo.
I just wish CC3 would extend the support to 4K substances (never mind... found info about 4K support on previous page :) )

To summarize the concern of Mr. Vidius, myself, and others: Will there be head creation within CC3, yes or no? That should be easy to answer. It would be unwieldy to still have to use CT8 Pipeline.

since the pipeline and the iclone versions are "2 different versions" the question is if i buy the pipeline version first them later decide to buy the iclone, this means which i will ending with 2 different CCs?

No, there will be only one CC program. All the files created by CC3 for IC will be fully compatible in CC3 Pipeline.

And if i use the pipeline version and export it to iclone that "features which are exclusive for the "pipeline version" will work with the iclone like the autoskin and the lod, they will be carried to the iclone and to another program like a game engine like unreal, or that features only goes direct to others programs and ca't be carried to the iclone??

Yes, it works in iClone of course!  CC character is always the Standard Character to iClone, and 100% compatible with its facial and body animation system. The only thing to be aware is, once the CC character has been polygon remeshed, it will be seen as Non-Standard Character, and not be able to import back to CC3. We will bring more details about polygon remeshing feature in WIP 2.

another good question could be like if i buy first the iclone and use the cc version for iclone and later i decide to buy the pipeline i can open my workers which i started in the "iclone version" in the pipeline?? they have that compatibility??

All the files created by CC3 for IC will be fully compatible in CC3 Pipeline.

And my last question that is about a feature which i saw in the video, we gonna be able to make "animations or poses" in the pipeline cc3??? cuz in the video we can see a tab "pose/animation" it means which we gonna be able to make animations or poses direct in the cc3 without need the iclone?? or it is just to have a premade pose or be able to buy pre made ones from the market, how that tab work??.

It's pose, not animation. You can adjust & save pose in CC3, or import iMotion, iMotionPlus, rlMotion from iClone to present pose.

Thank you for your attention, patience and answers one last question toward compatibility
looks like cc and iclone are compatible with daz studio, but what about mixamo??
will be possible or your team have plans to make cc3 be able to import mixamo poses or animations (if needed iclone then possible to make iclone can import mixamo animations to work on cc models), any plans for that? for cc and/or iclone be compatible with mixamo, a easy way to import animations and poses from mixamo to cc and iclone?

Again really thanks for all support.
