When attempting to save a project after making some edits I am encountering a "Save Project Error".  I then cannot save the project or Save As... as a different name, so my work in progress is lost.  The folder I am saving to is sync'd with Google Drive, but is a local folder.  Even attempting to "Save As..." to a non-sync'd local folder fails with the same error.  This error is making it very difficult to get productive work done in the tool.

Please advise,

Scott

I can not reproduce your problem.
If you save as the new project in other local folders does it work?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Searching on these forums, I see others with a similar problem, but see no solutions posted.

My project is a simple morph-based head animation of a photo of a dog that lasts 10 seconds. Not exactly a HUGE deal.

I'm running the latest version of CTA3, on a Mac running OS 10.13.4. Earlier today, CTA3 crashed three times for no reason. This seems to be a VERY buggy, not ready for release product.

I bought CTA3 Pipeline for Mac in December 2017 but am just now starting to use it for a project and am learning how it works along the way.
Within a week of beginning that project (a professional project due in the fall), I could no longer save that file.
Luckily, I'm not new to these computer/software screwups, so I had backups for my backups. But still...I now feel that I cannot begin a new project without wondering "if" or "when" that new file is going to also be somehow corrupted and un-save-able.

What this app needs is an "import from project" option so you can merge CTA3 files or salvage corrupt ones in cases like this.

It also needs a "close" tab in the file menu. :)

Peter - This problem is a known issue - your own words - what is UNKNOWN is why the last update did this and WHEN it will be fixed - I can't do ANYTHING new with CTA3 either, and VERY frustrated with the lack of action and updates on this HUGE issue - basically renders the software paralyzed and basically useless right now.
We really expected more from your team on fixing this A-S-A-P and - getting nothing but crickets. We are waiting - far too patiently. ~V~:crying:

Hi Rogue Anime,

I do understand the frustration.

Have you contacted Technical Support about this issue? If not I would do so urgently so the issue can be logged and we can keep you informed on the status.

We also need the projects that can no longer be saved so we can try and reproduce the problem. If you have one, please can you let Support have a download link (Dropbox, Google Drive OneDrive etc.) so we can test it.

Thanks.

I have:
- Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, with the spring update.
-CTA pipeline (latest update).

There are no problems when I save a project.
But: Every time when I close CTA the program "hangs" a few seconds and I get a fault in the Windows logbook. (see picture)

Maybe this helps.

Best Regards,
Arie

Also, I cannot "quit" the app. without a crash error message, regardless of what file I'm working on — Mac Pro / Sierra. This happens EVERY time I quit.

As a precaution, before quitting, I start a new file so my valuable files aren't corrupted.
I'm also having repeated issues with my app preview screen going black, usually after using the full screen feature.

Obviously there are some serious issues with CTA3 that need immediate attention. Understandably, no company is eager to admit a flaw in its product due to the economic backlash and damage to its public reputation. But as paying customers, having paid our dues to support Reallusion, we expect the company to support us in working with its product. Denial won't cut it.

That said, I do like the software, just not the bugs.

Mac Pro - Sierra - CTA3 Pipeline.
