I'm sad, too, that Motion Blur won't make it into the next version of iClone. Would have been a very nice addition. But I'll gladly use the Camera Shake! In fact, I need that right now (doing it manually is OK, but a little time consuming to get it right).

Sadly motion blur won't be making it into the next version of iClone. It will remain a possibility for future inclusion however. :) Camera shake will be possible though. ;)

I agree wiith both suggestions. Motion blur and camera shake would be useful as well as a few other post proccessing effects. Yes, motion blur may be a memory hog (maybe) but in the end, it is up to the director about what kind of effects they want in their movie and what hardware they need to get to do these effects. I for one think it's a great idea.

Add my vote for Motion Blur support as well! (Camera Shake might be nice, too. But I think Motion Blur is more important.)
There might be some editing tools that can add this effect. But like others have pointed out, not all of them support this feature. Usually it's the most expensive tools. And if you've already been trained with one editing package, it's a pain to buy a new package and retrain just for that feature.
As for the naysayers who claim it will be a memory hog, etc., it shouldn't affect them if they choose to ignore such a feature. To stay competitive and current, it's a given that computer hardware has to be upgraded regularly. And memory upgrades are among the most important.

Plus one vote for motion blur. Even if it is at render time.

The reason you want the Motion Blur in iClone is that you would actually get a blur of what moves within a single frame. I've found any attempt to simulate that with adjacent frames in Vegas (or any other editor for that matter) disappointing, even when starting out with 60 fps (which would give more frames to compose the blur). Especially with fast movements there are simply not enough frames to compose the blur convincingly.

@cape:Before IC4 came out, one might have said that IBL or HDR or imported video were features that could be done in Post, or not at all. And yet here they are. :) So why not ask for Motion Blur? My video editor certainly can't do it (believe me, I've tried!)As to Camera Shake, yes you can achieve something similar by doing loads of keyframes, or if you're clever like the.biz, you can attach the camera to an invisible avatar's head, and move HIM around instead. But I think a simple option at add shake (during export/render, perhaps?) wouldn't be too hard for the people at Reallusion to achieve. After all, even The Movies could do that!! :D
