$179 was the price when I upgraded from CTA Pro 3 a couple of weeks back. (I don't know about from CTA Standard. I assume my older copy of CTA Std 2 was "masked" by having registered the newer CTA Pro 3.)
The
current regular purchase cost for Pro is also $179, so to invest in Pro and then upgrade to Pipeline, you've spent $358. The regular full price of Pipeline is only $299, so there's a whopping great surcharge of $59. (In contrast, it looked as if the cost to upgrade from Standard to Pro, was simply the difference between what you had already invested and the higher level cost. No surcharge.)
Adding insult to injury, Pipeline 3 has been on sale (at least for the past couple of weeks) for just $249, making the effective surcharge = 358-249 = $109. Let us say that my respect and admiration for Reallusion's Sales Department is sub-zero these days. We are not amused.
