Hey guys and gals,
I have been working on using different cameras all day, but have a problem. I am able to add as many cameras as I want and move them about, even attaching cameras to dummy props and paths to follow the action, but what I cannot do is go from one camera to another during the action. Every time I try to change between cameras, the entire script changes to that camera's view. I am getting the impression that you can only use one camera at a time, render that portion, then use another camera; is that right? Initially, I was going to set up a number of cameras with each at a different location and switch between them as the performance played out. I know that you can use any camera and animate it, but I wanted to just switch between cameras that are already set up for the different views. The only way I can see to do that right now is render each camera view and then put them together in a video editor to get the effect of different camera angles as the performance plays out. I want to jump in and out from up close facial views to distant views. Is there a way to get multiple camera views without rendering and using a video editor to see the different camera views in one performance?
