Can this be the crossover between Windows and Linux !!!

Sure is, but I hope you didn't just visit the page and click on download, you should really scroll down the page first and have a good read, watch the animations etc.  One of them shows how the interface can be set-up as either Windows or MacOS, cause it's not just designed for Windows users, it's designed for Apple users as well ;)

Here, scroll down the page this time (if you never before), and read everything :w00t:

I spotted ZORIN too recently. Really looks promising.

I love it Jammie ... it's easy the best OS I've ever used ... even running on old hardware it just flies!
I'm not able to test it with iClone just yet (sorry Stephen), because although I'm running it as my main OS, it's currently only installed on my old machine.

Like I said, the only reason Windows 7 is occupying my main machine is so that I can run iClone, and the only way I'll keep it that way is if iClone7 runs on it.  If not, well everything else I use or want to use, is already available on ZORIN.  So in that case, even Windows 7 will be getting completely wiped so I'll have ZORIN on both machines

People who have never heard of ZORIN, really need to check it out (and don't forget to scroll down the page) :

I'm with the Hamster here, no Windows 10 is getting on my system ... EVER!!!

I have a beautiful OS called ZORIN, designed to be a replacement for Windows (and it's far better), it runs Windows programs, and even has an official nVidia driver and technology support function :D
Here's the website for it (scroll down the page for more details) : zorinos.com

With awesomeness like that, no one needs to surrender to Microsoft privacy-invasion ever again!

For all we know, it might even run iClone7 due to the compatibility features built-in to ZORIN.  But if it doesn't, well that's too bad for iClone, not me, because all of the competition have already released natively on it in prepration for the mass migration to Linux.  It's called being in control, getting it right, and if RL are wise and want to get it right, they'll get their asses into gear and get a Linux-based release out there as ASAP (as in iClone 7.5 ASAP).  I don't care what RL say, or think about this situation, I know more about this stuff than they can even comprehend.

I can't stress this enough : ALL ICLONE COMPETITORS ARE OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE ON LINUX NOW, BUT ICLONE IS NOT.
I underlined the word ALL for a reason ... WAKE UP :Wow:

Can this be the crossover between Windows and Linux !!! Does iClone 6 work with this Operating System ? ....I am downloading now !!

Your hamster is a conspiracy theorist. (I have an inkling who he voted for. White hamster, eh?)

Seriously though, iClone uses the same Visual C++ 2012 library for both Windows 7 and Windows 10. It would be very hard to exclude an OS form coding, and not in RL's interest as they now have to spend additional time to fix this that could be used better. I'm still running Windows 7 on one machine and it has been giving me problems. For one, automatic updates no longer work (even when initiated by hand), so I have go through all kinds of trouble to keep the system up-to-date. So I decided to update my other Windows 7 machine to 10.

gee wiz Animagic, I didn't know that you were so politically correct. but, that does explain much.. and unwraps the mystery of animagic.. no my friend. my hamster is not a conspiracy theorist.
in fact, the term "conspiracy theory" came from the minds of the mainstream media. who are actually the "fake news". and are own and controlled by 5 international corporations. they only tell you what they want you to think. nothing more. they understand the truth of things. and hide it from you. example: the human brain operates just like your computer. but on a more advanced, and biological manner. like your computer, the brain functions with 1's and 0's. it also has it's own software in which "learning" or "education" is it's form of updates. and just like a computer, there is also a form of program writing that goes on. have you ever heard of "subliminal messaging"? look it up. study it. and you might get what I'm saying. your political correctness is a form of programming. to get you to think the way they want you to think. it's simple. easy. and it works. white hamster? yes. my hamster is white. his fur is white. and even though hamsters can not vote. I'm sure he would vote to make America great again. instead of selling it to the highest bidder. :D actually, my hamster is considered an albino (pure white) and his eyes are an evil red in color. which makes him quite a rare thing to have. that is why I made him my friend. or pet. anyway...

I have 2 machines that run windows 7. and I'm very proud to say that i never had any issues with either of them. if I want updates, i do it manually because in case you have not heard. Microsoft no longer supports windows 7. so automatic updates won't work. i also installed system mechanic professional Premium Service. had it for many years. works very well. keeps all of my computers operating near perfect. I never had to reinstall my operating systems. I have 3 that run XP. 2 on 7. no problems at all. the key to keeping your computer operating is your registry. if that gets corrupted. then you got to reinstall the entire system. most people forget  that. windows is always writing to the drive. always doing something. and it sometimes does things to itself.. as programmed to do so you are always looking for the next upgrade version. follow the money and you shall find many things.

now one day.. i may have to get a new computer.. and I will have to deal with windows 10, 11, or maybe windows AI. (coming soon). but that won't be for some time. I take full advantage of system recovery's and such. so hard drives are not an issue. plus I do back up my files every couple of weeks so i lose nothing. or very little. and even something more important than that. I stay off line as much as possible. my computers don't connect to the internet, until i manually plug it in. but anyway again.. my hamster is right about a great many things. and he has a sense of humor.

I just went through that Win7 Updates fiasco and I fixed it using the info here. I actually read down into the comments and found something to try that wasn't mentioned and use that and it worked. I went to bed after running it and in the morning had to answer YES to a prompt and within 30 minutes to an hour it appears to be fixed. If nothing else, it up to date. :) Here is the link:

Hi adam recently this has been a common problem across many windows 7 SP1 systems. Since you have many systems stuck on this error I would suggest you download the Convenience rollup update for Windows 7 SP1. Here is the information regarding this update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3125574.Basically it packages all the updates since the rollout of SP1. The download link is http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=KB3125574 . You will require internet explorer to open that page. If this doesn’t work you can look at the method 4 of installing updates using WSUS Offline Update. You can create a repository of the updates in a server and then install in all your client machines. Hope that helps.

Well as for me I wouldn't touch Windows 10 even if they gave it away as a FREE update .....oh wait they did do that. I am guessing you never read you agreement when installing Windows 10? here is a little for you:
Finally, we will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary. ??????????????????? What ......when THEY feel it's necessary ....who the blazes do they think they are!!!! Even the police have to get a search warrant, but not MS they can just get you to agree to a criminal agreement.  I will never agree to such a infringement of my privacy rights. So his hamster is NOT a conspiracy theorist, he just knows how to read.
Good luck with laying it all out there!! By the way it is a known fact THEY do make it more and more difficult to use an older OS to push a person to update to their latest Spyware, any American Corporation who admits their criminal infringement on the rights of the people of the planet would not think twice of downloading a little software (virus) to brake things on your old operating system.
I have a question why does 4k rendering from iClone not work in Windows 7 when my video editing software exports 4k video!

Hey mr_vidius,
Perhaps comparing (the Other person's spec's - sharing your problem)
May reveal the problem area (culprit):Whistling:

already did that. :P  I do believe I know the culprit. and it's not on my end.
I'm not a trendy. I see no real reason to go to windows 10 right now. I never had any issues with windows 7.
and with the exception of the 6.53 patch. everything runs pretty darn good on it. but there seems to be a "trendy" thing
going on. my hamster says it's sabotage. an attempt to force me on to windows 10. for interesting lazy reasons that have noting to do
with me. but those who write. I have no reason to think my little white hamster would lie to me. the fact he gives me wonderful ideas
when I am playing with iclone. makes me trust that hamster of mine. my hamster says that when that patch was written. windows 7 was left out
of the coding on purpose. :Whistling: but you didn't hear that from me...

Unfortunately we can't reproduce this issue and we only have these two reports of the problem so far. This would indicate that it is not a general bug as it would be affecting most if not everyone who has updated to version 6.53.

@stephen_20110417044821793, @mr_vidius, please can you share your graphic card details as it may be related to certain graphic cards.

In addition, please can you send us a project file showing the problem so we can test it. As the attachment file size limitation of the support form is only 5 MB, you can use cloud services like Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Google Drive etc. to make the download available to us. Please use the link below to send us the project.

http://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/UserEx/QForm.aspx

Thank you.
