Hi all. I would like some help with this: i’m trying to do some tutorials to learn how to use the program. In the first tutorial it’s shown that going to record mode will let you move the camera around and it should have a 3d effect. When i go to record mode i cannot do that.

Hi...

Are you using Cartoon Animator 4 or CrazyTalk Animator 3?

Also can you tell us what problems are you having with the camera? Under normal use you can move the camera around and it won't set keyframes. However, when you turn on "Live Camera" any movements you make with the camera will set keyframes and allow you to create camera animations. Please see the CTA4 Manual page below for an explanation of this (it works the same with CTA3).

Regarding 3D Mode, neither CTA3 or CTA4 have a 3D Mode. What they have is a 3D View which allows you to move objects along the z-axis when building your scenes. Again, please see the Manual page below which explains how to turn on 3D View.

When you activate Live Camera you will see a REC indicator in the top right of the viewport to indicate it is active. Now just select Zoom (Z), Pan (X) or Rotate (C), then hold the left mouse button to move the camera around. As I mentioned previously this will set then keyframes on the Timeline.
