For my stage background I want to achieve a look similar to the new Zelda
interested to know if someone has examples about a similar look achieved in iClone.

You should be able to get pretty close to that look with the HDR controls and the IBL controls and maybe the shadow Opacity adjustment.

Sorry, you can´t do that in iClone. Not at all. iClone has no scripts for all the automated animations, that you need and can´t output such graphics. Toon shader has nothing to do with such graphics. This shader only makes out of the middlesize iclone quality output very bad quality graphics without details. You can go Unity, take the horse pro pack, a fantasy tps and any good nature environment - and you are near to your goal. With iClone you need the horse pack, some fantasy animation packs and some weeks for learning iclone and activating the animations at the right time. But without PBR and other modern graphics tools you got no chance getting a similar result in iclone.

I know I can't achieve with iClone AAA graphics quality in term of animations complexity, graphics effects and details, something I can find in Unity. I'm interested to know if I can achieve this style, in term of colors and general appearance. Avoiding in fact too many details and pushing for the cel shading style. I didn't want realism, I want stylish visuals. Something I can find in @mark videos just as example.

I've seen iClone works that could get pretty close to this if they did not rely on the default ambient lighting. For an outdoor daylight scene, it is way to dark. So yeah, like Mark said, IBL lighting, or just crank up the normal ambient to like "white". Then turn down your main light(s).
I wonder if we could get an "iclone challenge" going. Someone could pick something like this for the community to have a go at.

Well, just compare a similar scene in both engines: That are just totally different worlds.
Best I have found and x hours of work.
Next best fitting content and some minutes of work.

...if I see this, I am wondering, why RL is not putting everything they have in development of a new render engine... 360 VR is completely the wrong way to go down. Maybe they are not losing any customers yet. But new customers they won't win with that either/customers spending much on content. Why should I invest in good content, when the results look so bad :-)?

actually you can, but with the filters / saturation / brightness and color settings first you have the get the basic lighting right as others have mentioned on the thread, then you have to desaturate, brighten and adjust contrast through the "effects" settings. It's doable, you just have to know where to do it. :)
