What is the best way to go about animating car crashes in iClone, Including body damage? Just my luck, i finally start using iClone as a pro offering to my clients. My first job was a crime scene reconstruction where a lady gets hit by a car. It went fine, though it would have been nice to have been able to add a little bit of debris. The second job required a character taking off his clothes in the desert somewhere.. lo an behold i cant actually animate that in iClone cause the clothing is not independent, so i had to cheat using creative camera switching hahaha Now Im being asked to do another crime scene reconstruction, this time involving two giant trucks colliding.... i don't think i can get away with creative camera switching. I have to actually show the damage happening. Any advice!?

Soft Cloth Collision should be all you need: For Debris, it would take a little more, but the hard part is keeping the collision. If you have two vehicles coming together and you want them both damaged, just put a block between the two where they meet.

I did something with soft cloth and Bullet physics a while ago (iClone 5):
The advantage of using soft cloth under PhysX is that you can bake the result.

So the question was also asked “how to make a car hit a pedestrian?” I have tried it using the installed Jeep and my avatar, but my avatar always floats into the Jeep instead of being knocked down. I activated Physics for the Jeep and tried every setting, Kinematic, dynamic, etc. I created a path for the Jeep leading right through me. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

To apply physics to a character you need to attach dummy props to the character. The dummy props can then interact with other objects. You would have to experiment where to place those dummy objects.
