As I understand it this feature is coming in CC1.5 along with creating custom hair.  See this THREAD

Snarp is correct. The ability to create custom outfits and styles will begin with the 1.5 update.

There is a very limited way to create some CC Clothing bases while we wait for CC1.5

See the following post which describes the steps:

Every few days I open CC, just to see if the 1.5 update has hit yet.  Anyone else have this addiction?

You can use the base cloth cc models.
Then you edit in an external 3D software.

For example: Sculptris, Blender, ZBrush or Mudbox

This is a way of modification, not to make clothes.

The problem is that you can change CC meshes all that you want but there is no support for bringing them back into CC.
The only way, that I know of, is the Replace Mesh option which requires the vertices count and face count to be the same as the original mesh. This means you cannot add or remove vertices and/or faces. That means if you are making a significantly different piece of clothing, it is a pain in the butt.

Being that iClone is a program for creativity..
It's really sad that Reallusion didn't add the (Rest of the Code) to edit a simple mesh.
This STOPS your creativity!
Replace Mesh is a Joke!

Sometime I can't tell is you are being serious or just being sarcastic. In my opinion adding code to edit a mesh would not be good. Why re-invent the wheel when there are many programs that can already edit meshes and edit them well? What is missing (and hopefully coming in CC 1.5) is the ability to (properly) bring new meshes into CC and uses them as CC bases (i.e. be able to use the to make custom clothing bases, etc).

Replace Mesh is a Joke!

I fully agree but right now (correct me if I am wrong) there are only 3 options: 1) Use the default bases that come with CC, 2) buy CC Essentials and use those bases or use 3) Replace Mesh.

Even with opacity maps, option 1 is too limiting. Option 2 is not in my budget and option 3 is a pain in the butt due to the exact vertices and faces count...So I really hope CC 1.5 is coming soon.

sw00000p (5/10/2016): That ERROR.... BUG, as you call it)
"It's simply lack of code!"

I am not sure that is correct because when you Replace Mesh it does give the option of keeping the old UV or applying the new ones (there is a checkbox for it on the dialog)...but it does not seem to work correctly...hence "ERROR" or "BUG" but not really "It's simply lack of code!". But in any case...Yeah...they need to fix that.

sw00000p (5/10/2016)Question is.... "Will the NEW 3dxch (Custom Cloth Update) be FREE!"

Yes...that is the million dollar question. So far, RL has been generous in giving us patches which included new functionality for free...I hope that continues with CC1.5
