So the graph says xbox means less features and Kinect v2, I assume is the Xbox One model, will be the next compatible Kinect sensor. But will it mean that it will also have less features? I investigated its possible shortcomings.
About "Near Mode" The new sensors depth range is 50cm to 8meters, where reliable Body tracking is .5 to 4.5 meters. Because of the new depth range capabilities, there isn't a "near mode" required. What does it mean for iClone users that's another story.
About detecting head turns, According to this YouTube video head turning is detected but will iClone register it is also another story.
I'm thinking of getting it now even if there are no plugin for v2 for iClone yet. I can simply use a 3d party app that exports the mocap into .FBX files and pass it through 3DX. also, I'll need windows 10 hmm, just in time as 7 won't do.
As far as commercial user rights, how can Reallusion sell the xbox SDK for commercial profit but animations using it cannot? Or am I not getting the legalese of that situation?
