Looks like we will have version 8 in our hands soon. I'd say that the upgrade price is in line with what I expected. I'm looking forward to creating some creepy talking statues with the 3D abilities of 8!

@InfoCentral: One important difference between CrazyTalk and Poser is of course that CrazyTalk is for talking heads only; either 2D or 3D. It is a different application, so it depends on what you want to do.

What I like about CT compared to full-blown body animation is the simplicity as you only have to worry about the head. It would be interesting though if it had head size or shape animation in 3D that could be transferred to iClone. That would be a very expressive tool.

But you didn't answer the basic question: Can CrazyTalk 8 also do all the things that  CrazyTalk 7 could? Or are some features removed?

Yes CrazyTalk 8 will be able to do the same as CrazyTalk 7 plus a lot more. As well as being able to create new 3D heads you will be able to add accessories into your scene plus effects and so on. In addition iClone users will be able to take the 3D heads created in CT8 Pipeline and add them to their characters in iClone. :)

I just purchased Crazytalk 7 Pro because I have wanted it anyway and I get the new version free. I was hoping to see the next preview video before I bought.
I really don't get the Reallusion marketing. I have Poser and Daz Studio already, and one is a paid for software, and the other has free software and lots of paid for content. Reallusion seems to be trying to grab both and lock down any content makers into a Pipeline version. What the hell are you guys thinking? I have CTA pro, and I can't import your iMotions or make content? People are asking for content, motions, characters, and you make it next to impossible to do.  Even having the tools to make content, people buy stuff from the experts, so you have a market, why the hell aren't you using it?

Yeah, I would like some answers to questions I have already brought up. Mainly, what additional 2D features are going to be added. If 3D is the new direction for CT then what advantages does it have over Poser which too has facial fitting and is much much much more feature rich. I have never used the free Daz Studio so I don't know if it has facial fitting for custom avatars. As Wizaerd has pointed out this does appear to be a ported iClone plug-in.

I totally agree. Although I am very interested to see what's new in version 8, I also regret having started this discussion string because it got so-far off track. I'm looking forward to part 2 of the intro video!

Maybe we can now go back to a more content-based discussion.  For me, it would indeed be good to know what other features are in CT8 that are also of interest to iClone users. Better facial expressions for example, that are some what limited in iClone.

So, CrazyTalk 8 has all the functions from CrazyTalk 7 + some new?

Not some new. A lot new. :)

Hi Peter,

Thanks for clarification - looking forward to see lot of new features ;)

But you didn't answer the basic question: Can CrazyTalk 8 also do all the things that  CrazyTalk 7 could? Or are some features removed?

Wizaerd, you are of course 100% correct. I did jump off the mark too fast and incorrectly credited you with the comment "Oh please! Don't insult my intelligence by posting such nonsense" And for that I do genuinely apologise.I will read more carefully in the future. I got a little worked up.

I am glad we are done and can now go our seperate ways and just enjoy Reallusions products.

Wizaerd, aside from you breaking your word that "I'll not be responding to anymore of your messages or postings" I am sorry you feel I am insulting your intelligence. But even you have to admit, the fact that you have taken it upon yourself to lead a one man crusade against a product you have nothing but contempt for, may not give me the right to insult your intelligence, but I do have the right to question it.

Unfortunately, I do have to respond to this one to let you know you're  little quick off the cuff smart guy, cuz that wasn't me responding about insulting my intelligence.  Read a bit more carefully.  Not to mention the fact that my response was to Peter, not to you. As for the rest, I'll stick around as along as I'm able, and I will continue to make my complaints because thery're everybit as valid.  So you can just go jump in a lake for all I care.

Now I'm done with you.
