i wouldn't laugh if i were you, swoop want's the best tools around, I want them to be ez and affordable, and the current game plan is that you are going to have to deal with less than spectacular results to present to investors. so........yer in a tough spot! swoop wants to get paid well hourly, i want my royalties ...and you ain't making a dime till you get us a deal. An advance for me, a budget for swoop and a commission for you.

swoop will leave us bankrupt if he has to fix everything....so i need to get most of the work done ez and affordably.

You are getting funnier !

I am NOT into gaming. I am dabbling with the game engines for developing an Industrial Train Simulation for Drivers' Training Programme where I could develop the Open World on demand. The Proof of Concept is - "Can we lay the tracks based on the Open Street kind of Data ?" Can we create passing by trains based on data e.g. WDM 2 / WAG 9 etc and number of boggies 20 / 12 and boggies type etc.....Can we create vegetation type based on GIS data ? Can we create the landscape on the fly based on DEM data ? I usually attack on the conceptual needs like this. Once I get answers to these crucial things... and create the cost advantage, I start focusing on the programming. Then only I will decide the programming language I need to learn for the project.

Besides that I do not learn a language and then work on a Project. I decide the project and then check the need. If C# is needed for any project, then I will focus on that.



A friend watched me struggling with a Word file and wondered how could I be so bad with MSWORD while I do such complex programming for both back end and front end ! I said " why learn something when you can hire somebody easily ?"

I seek, focus and learn only the "DIFFERENTIAL" part in my domain that can make the difference.

Somebody asked for an insane amount of money to do a Title track for my serial, so I started composing my own ....first time in my life just a few months back..... Now I am doing atleast one new song each for all my episodes.

I think I have started getting comfortable in doing the tracks with complex layering and MIDI programming.

Also, I would like to point out that RL wants iClone to be the basis for game design as one application. That is not a hobbyist or noob thingy and wouldn't work if the animation is crummy.

I don't know if Mr RealTimer has ever done anything worthwhile, but I have been an iClone user for almost nine years. I don't think frustrating long-time customers is a good business decision.

In your dramatic scene, you are forgetting that those animators are not going to expose their so called secret weapon to other animators or clients. What's easy for you is also easy for others. And clients do not pay for easy jobs. Next time you know the client will buy ICLONE 6 from the DAZ store on a bargain !

So don't include such scenes in your script.

And kindly tell the regular ICLONE users how they can run ICLONE 6 smoothly on their laptops.

Anyway I'm not for subscription, especially one where the software would just stop working when the subscription expires.
I'm sure you can adapt a more user friendly business model like Modo Indie. They offer both subscription for people that want to get updates instantly and perpetual where users are only given point updates. I understand mixamo mocap is subscription because its offering content but software on subs is no go for me.

noobs and pros can co-exist in iclone - like another post said, just don't use it if you don't know how. nothing is being replaced. But no one should grow out of iclone. noobs don't stay noobs forever, i'm one of the rare few! #noob4life

Iclone should be that toy the pros keep secret when they want to have fun animating again, get work done quick, and not waste time with those insanely tedious high end softwares. Humans are not going to evolve a 3rd leg or arm any time soon, that covers plenty of animation work!
the animation tools in iclone need to be that 1-inch punch to the 3D industry, Right to the heart, no mercy! everything else, is 2nd on the list.

when the animator walks into the room, everyone steps back, imagine the look on their face when he pulls out iclone! Then he tells everyone, relax, I can export this to fbx for the main system, this is just faster and i can do this from my laptop....we can do this by the swimming pool if you want, I'm saving you money, now smile for the kinect!
