Hi guys, my name is James and I've been using iclone 5 for five years and in that time have had a real blast with it!! However, a problem has occurred recently where the hair disappears from my avatars heads. It appears to be when moving the camera to the left or right, and the hair stays on until the character passes out of frame with just a second to spare ( still enough time for viewers to see the bald head appear ). If I use the follow cams it doesn't happen ( more stable algorithm or just a bug maybe?!!) I can just work around it but I it means I can only pull the camera in or out from a character to a certain point before they lose their hair. Has anyone else ever encountered this before? I have been importing my characters in to iclone 7, through 3d exchange 7, as 3d exchange 4 and 5 don't appear to work properly with 5, with one telling me it can't work on windows 8.1 and 5 exports props but iclone doesn't load them ( anybody got any ideas there?!!! ) going back to the hair issue, I've noticed this hair issue is present in the avatars whilst in 7.so i figured it was probably a bug. If anyone has any ideas on this I would love to resolve it. Or I will have to find another way to add hair to my characters!!!! Thank you

I don't have iClone 5 on my machine, but I tried with an IC 5 character (Gwynn), and I don't see the problem. It is in a specific project or does it always happen?

One culprit could be the driver of your graphics card. What card do you have, and what are your other system specs?

Hi, Nvidia GeForce 770 with 4gb VRAM . ASUS mobo with 16 GB of .DDR3. DX11 enabled. I have used hair from other avatars outside my version of iclone and this doesn't happen, in fact I can get closer and tighter shots without the hair moving at all. I think it may be related to a bug in my version of Iclone 5. It happens in most of my projects, to some degree. I even tried converting the hair to. Prop but there doesn't appear to be that option. I wonder if it might be related to the key framing of the camera, perhaps it requires a more stable algorithm?? I am going to try linking the camera to a primitive, and basically attaching to an object to inherit the movement of that object. It's a minor issue really when one considers the scope and possibilities inside iclone, and if it means designing some hairstyles to then apply as props, I'm sure I can achieve that!!!! Thanks again sir.
