This little program lets you draw spline roads onto grayscale height maps that then can be used in iClone (5 or 6).

It has a lot of controls for how the road the road follows the terrain. Width, cut, etc. are all there.

Fairly easy to figure out as well.

Not for me Rampa :-(

Really don't understand how to save a grayscale image with road because the "save" feature is not available... Do we have to buy it before trying?

I didn't find any tutorial....

But thank you anyway Wink

It does work pretty well for carving out roads, berms, or curved shapes into existing land maps included in iClone, such as the Butte Terrain.

Launch the existing Grey Scale Height Map from iClone into your editor.

You just export the current PNG as a BMP, open it inside the tool, make the changes, then overlay it as a replacement to the PNG. Completely changes the landscape.

Two Grey Maps produced and one Example of the carved terrain.

It is a great little tool! There are a lot of options for the road as well. It can also do raised-up road, and elevated parts where the terrain is low.

I put in a iClone feature request that we be able to scale the height map terrain, as we usually don't need it as big as it is. Sometimes we just want a really high res mountain pass corner with the splat map (mix of 4 materials) ability.
