Swooop , it looks like you want IC usable like maya or 3ds to export in compositing pipeline right ? The compositing software with 3D stuff have long render time too. But for me there is a new way of thinking movie production : Realtime ! (That's why I dive in Iclone). Realtime today is possible for Indie and low budget using "game engine". Allegorithmic developed dynamic texture only for one major feature : speed of render!!!! (low weight of textures with good result) I played dynamic texture in Fuse and seriously it is so cool to have good result so fast . I prefer buying a 2$ rust dynamic texture and tweak-Anime it rather spend hours with photoshop. But it is my producer opinion of course... :D

Ah ok , now I understand better. I wanted to start 3d in 2000 with Lightwave and I remember the layer feature but I forgive 3d cause tooo long to render :D
May be an Iclone integration "a la" Cinema 4d in after effect? ;)

The 3d camera tracker is new to AE, not to CG. I used the Foundry tracker plugin for AE since 2010... It's not new for me. The example link you show is 3d objects inside 2d footage... I'm seriously confused the need to export 3d camera data in a compositing software. Do you have an exemple ?

I don't think Camera tracking data is "universal" and standard based. Hence ICLONE may need to create separate plugins for different composite softwares.
Camera tracking in the composing softwares is becoming a standard feature. So allow the compositing software to handle that. Let ICLONE focus on the animation.

Either one Prog can EXPORT the camera data or another Prog can SIMULATE / IMPORT the camera data from the video footage.
In the 2nd case, it's easier.
If one has to follow the 1st case, then perhaps RL must come up with few Plug-ins :
1) ICLONE2AE 2 ICLONE2HITFILM 3) ICLONE2AP 4) ICLONE2..... 5) ...... 6) ......

Thanks for the link Swoooop , but it is not new ;-) This is my job to track 2D footage to import 3D stuff (logo or text ) . But I think I missunderstand what you said. Are you talking about the ability of Iclone tracking 2d footage to put 3d props or characters anim ?

I think a 3D Rendition of OBJ Animation from DAZ or a sculpting software can help create an interesting Bullet on the Wall effect - a sort of slight Procedural destruction effect.
Like wall opening up and dust flying......then the bullet head flying off.....
This could be treated as a Morphed Prop.

Like I said Hitfilm will probably be better in Post! I did with limited success get a "gunshot effect on a wall" to work in iClone by rendering the effect with an alpha channel and placing it in the iClone scene. A bit too subtle but I think with a bit more work on my part it could have worked OK....
