i am in the process of building my new machine - one of the driving reasons is the machine bogs down on a scene with > 11 G2 costumed characters - thinking this may be due to the RAM limitations of 32 bit i.e. not being able to use anything beyond 3GB. Furthermore i plan on rendering most of my work going forward to HD - 720p - and this makes for huuge video files for editing

so planning to build a machine, Core i7 + 6GB RAM +win 7 64 (or Vista 64) - primary software load is iclone, CT, 3D Xchange, Audacity, Adobe CS4 (photoshop, premier, after effects) and Real Draw

i know most of the trade off (less driver support, game compatibility etc..) against going 64 bit, we know 64 bit vista works with iClone - but are there any more tangible benefits?

will it be able to take advantage of the additional RAM?
will it make iclone be more responsive?
How will it positively affect video editing large files?

let's all share our experience/insights so we can all benefit
