I was picturing a bathroom scale, where the only visible motion is the pointer (or the dial).

Now, rather than a spring-driven pointer, they require batteries and have an LCD display.  But even the new ones lie about my weight.  Why do they insist on adding 15-20 pounds to my weight?

Happy New Year to all of you, my friends! Have my best wishes for the new 2014!
I have one very simple question - I want to animate the movement of a scale, which I took from Google 3D warehouse. All tutorials show the movement of human but I could not find how to create rigging or IK in iClone for this simple scales. Any idea how to animate its movement when something is put on the one or other side? Should i do it in the iClone or 3Dexchange?

I have no idea how you can respond me. So here is my address: adanchev@yahoo.com.
With appreciation.

You can substitute pieces from the Google Scale, if desired, as long as they maintain the same physics parameter settings as the one available here.

I am relatively new in iClone. We want to animate the movement of scales when something is put on them. We downloaded from Google a nice model and decomposed it in groups in the 3DXchange. But no idea how to make the rigging in iClone.

Rather than "rigging" the model, I suggest making the pointer on the scale a separate item, and simply key frame it to move when you place an item on the scale.

That might be a lot easier than trying to make a more sophisticated prop, and the end result will look the same to the audience.

Welcome to the Forum :)

In 3DXChange:

Make all of the Scale's component parts Sub Props. Or just the component parts you want to Move/Rotate.

In Iclone:

Select the Sub Props. Moving/Rotating them, using the Gizmo to their required positions. Keyframing those positions along the Timeline.

It isn't a good idea to Post your e-mail Address on Public Forums. ;) Spammers frequent this Forum :ermm:

It is always best to have Replies to Posts, Posted in the same Thread. Rather than by Forum Private Message or E-Mail.

Best wishes to you, too, for 2014 :)

Anyone-else?

RC is correct because he mentioned 3ds Max thought I would give the tutorial videos a look at to see how complicated the program is before deciding whether to purchase it or not but the more I keep watching the tutorials on DAZ 4.6 plus the good reports that have come in about it could be a strong candidate.
