Move and Rotate bones

I have imported a character in fbx format from MotionBuilder(which I don't have).

When I create the non standard character in 3dx5 and select a bone's node I can rotate it but the move is grayed out.

How can I move the bones?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do or what motion builder you are talking about. My biggest suggestion is to spend abou an hour watching a YouTube tutorial (try warlord's or panthers tutorials) and really understand how 3d exchange works. You have to rotate the bones in the t-pose and specific the bones to a specific rig when setting up your character for animation. I was pretty lost at first as well until I started taking the time and watching tutorials.

You can't move the character bones in 3DXchange5. The actual positioning of the bones needs to be done in your 3D modelling software prior to export to 3DX5.

Just a quick Note:

Make sure the character is not "Active" as a Non-Standard, and then you can manipulate the bones. Just, not while the "Active" phase is checked.
