Good Morning... Does anyone have any idea how the morphing and bone animation in the updated 3dxchange wil work in UDK and Unity? Will we be able to export the animation to the before mentioned game engines? Also I am looking to buy a very expensive new graphic card-Nivida GTX 680TI... i KNOW IT WILL Improve THE APPEARANCE and render in unity. Whhat i want to know is WILL it improve the appearance and performance of work in iclone. Does having a better graphic card improved the work and look in iclone. I know any animation needs a graphic card. I am just curious if iclone benefits in the way game engines do Thanks for thoughts on the topic

Thank you for the reply... I just figured out how to export and apply the animation to unity...I am sure i will posting the need for help very soon... It would suck greatly to have facial animation for daz genesis models via iclone and not be able to export it to game engines or autodesk programs... I FELL IN LOVE with the Unity short film Butterfly effect... The creators used "my computer" I'm working with a i72600.. wHAT I DON'T HAVE IS THE GRAPHIC CARD THE FILMAMKERS USED-gtx680ti... I am aware it wasn't just graphic card rendering that made the short film awesome... I am looking to split what can only be done with graphic card improvement/computer memory and what can only be done with creative and add ons... You've answered the most important question-when the facial animation is added to iclone/3dxchange improvements i can have full animation in my chosen outside program... Thank you very much for the help.

Hey, guys, calm down a little. It is NOT certain that 3DXchange will allow export of animated facials. FBX is capable for that, of course, but it is Reallusion's decision will they make that option or not... Just saying, so you won't end up disappointed... And defiant, comp and graphic card aside, makers of Butterfly had some in-house scripts and shaders, not yet available for public. Just saying, so you won't end up disappointed... :)

In the Unity asset store you can buy a plugin that will import morph data into the game engine complete with sliders etc. You can always import bone animations. There are tutorials for facial bone setups in various 3d applications and you could use that method to get your detailed animations to work in the engine.
Cheers

I can not find many tutorial about bone facial rigging . The most covered only morph based or about control setups I found this and it is a good basic to start http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=f5XwaPq25fMif you know more about bone rigging tutorials , maybe you can link here ?

I am talking about animation of the face, swoooop. Can you export talking face now from the Pipeline? No. Bake face bones on the timeline and export it via FBX? No. Why are you sure that with morphed faces it will be different? This is about business decision, not technical possibility.

Jesus, swoooop, you are probably writing so fast that you don't have a time to read what people write. :) There is a body animations and there is a facial animations. You know that better then me. For now, you CAN'T export facial animation out of iClone. If we got that possibility with new morphs system, great, but nobody said that this No Export of Face Animation policy will change....
