why isn't self illumination working?, i tried al lot, got the glow working, but not the casting of light, what am I missing?

Perhaps if you put a floor or something close to the emissive surface you could see if it is workibg or not

in my picture you can see its turnt on, or is there an other location where I must do something?

I was thinking the icon in the toolbar. There are two icons for GI in the upper-right corner. One turns it on and off in the viewport, and the other turns it on and off for rendered output. The viewport one may be turned off.

that is weird, the only thing that comes to my mind is if the diffuse color is black even if the glow map is blue it will not cast a light, i have tested this and it's fine on my system, what gpu do you have?
