Is there any way to import the Second Life avatar model to iClone so I can create bhv animations for use in Second Life?

The avatar obj files are available for this purpose and I've tried using them in Daz but I would prefer to use iClone if it was possible.

Any help appreciated :)

Even if you could get the obj files into Iclone (you would need to rig them first)you could not export the animations .............

I am interested though as how you use them in Daz as they would need to be rigged for Daz not just obj files ...

I don't think you can export animations in any way. So, even if you got the SL avatar into iClone with a bone structure, I can't think of any way that the animations in iClone can be exported or compiled into the avatar's file.

EDIT: Looks like I type too slow.

iClone is a movie making application, and it's assets are meant to be used for that purpose within iClone.  It is not a 3D application for building animations for export into other applications.

Thanks for the info. I'm brand new to iClone and still figuring out all the possibilities of the tool. I noticed that "bvh motion converter" came with the install, but now I see that is for importing, not exporting animations.

@bluemidget666 you can download basic male and female obj files from the Second Life wiki and these can then be imported to Daz. It's not perfect by a long shot, but does allow the creation of animations with a lot of effort and tweaking

It is possible with 3d max pipeline and RL bones.
