Taking a curved object like the Ball and reshaping it then giving it reflection properties works pretty well as a mirror...until they give us something that works anyway....

I achieved a pretty good mirror effect by using a vertical plane, painted black with full gloss. I don't know why I forgot this. It turned out not all the surfaces in my scene were being reflected though, and I'm not sure why. I'll probably come back to this problem in a while, after I've got my software on the new computer configured and have completed WarLord's tutorial.

setting your scene and characters up sideways sort of works, bit hard to work on, then use virtualdub or even I believe Windows moviemaker to rotate the video.

You would have to turn it 90 degrees to make, say, a mirror...

If I understand the prop you mean, I think there is one already in one of the Demo Projects from Iclone 4...... I've used it a few times already......basically shiny and reflects whats on the surface right ? it's the project with Iclone in big bold letters. Update, never mind - Just double checked the project ( animated textures ) and they did it with water!! I suppose you could do it water, then make an invisible plane to put over it and attach to the terrain!!

I'm also interested. It would certainly make a few of my upcoming scenes easier!

Unfortunately there were some issues outstanding with the mirror object so it was removed from the release version. Once the issues are fixed it will be made available in a future update. :)
