I have never owned an X-box or any of the like - but most certainly will if I can combine the Kinect's Motion Capture system with Iclone5.

I'm sure you have plenty of discussions threaded throughout this forum generally on the subject, but, what specific pieces of hardware should I purchase to take advantage of the Kinect's Motion Capture system in iClone5?  It is a device already out there in gaming, or what?  Please fill in this newbie Kinect person - pertty please :w00t:

Hardware wise you just need the Kinect Sensor which is available separately now. You don't need to purchase an XBox 360 to be able to use it with your PC and iClone5. You can get the sensor with power supply from most gaming shops or from suppliers such as Amazon.

Once iClone5 is released you will also need the iClone Kinect Plugin which will cost around $99.95 on top of the cost of iClone5 itself.

Thank you!  This sounds like fun!  Also, I wanted to buy an X-box (or the like) to use not only with iClone5 - but maybe get on board with the new stuff for exercising, yoga, etc etc (methinks I've been sitting on my arse too long playing with my computer...) - any recommendations for the combination of worlds?  I will certainly start with what Peter suggested - but, more?  :hehe:

I just opted for the Kinect camera only. Found a used one on Amazon for $70.00 US dollars. It had the optional power supply (wall-wart) included (which you must have as it's not included with an Xbox & Kinect bundle).

It's important to make sure, if you want just the Kinect camera, that the power supply is included. I had no problem as it was included in the box.

Also I'm sure you can find great bundle deals on the entire package Xbox & Kinect & Games...just make sure to acquire the power supply for the camera.
